How It Works

2. Free Consultation

We’ll schedule a brief 15-minute phone consultation (no charge) to:

  • Discuss what brings you to therapy
  • See if we’re a good fit
  • Answer any questions about my approach, rates, or logistics
  • Determine if individual, couples, or a combination would be most helpful

There’s no pressure or obligation—this is simply a chance for us to connect and see if working together feels right.

3. Schedule Your First Session

If we both feel it’s a good fit, we’ll schedule your first appointment. I’ll send you:

  • Intake paperwork (completed securely online)
  • Information about telehealth platform and how to access sessions
  • Details about fees, cancellation policy, and what to expect

4. First Session

Your first session is an opportunity to:

  • Share your story and what’s been challenging
  • Explore your goals for therapy
  • Discuss how I might be able to help
  • Begin building our therapeutic relationship

Sessions are 50-55 minutes and conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.


What to Expect in Therapy

Frequency: Most clients meet weekly, especially in the beginning. We can adjust based on your needs and progress.

Format: I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and a combination of both for couples who want deeper work.

Approach: I use evidence-based methods like Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Relational Life Therapy, tailored to your unique situation.

Your Role: Therapy is collaborative. You’re the expert on your own life—I’m here to help you access your strengths and navigate challenges.


Common Questions

Do you take insurance? I am currently a private pay practice and do not accept insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a superbill (detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

What are your rates?

  • 60-minute session: $150
  • 90-minute session: $200
  • 2-hour session: $250

Payment is due at the time of service and can be made via credit card, debit card, or HSA/FSA card.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule? I require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will be charged 50% of the session fee. I understand that emergencies happen—please reach out and we can discuss your situation.

How long will I be in therapy? This varies for everyone. Some clients find significant relief in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll regularly check in about your progress and goals.

What if I’m not sure if therapy is right for me? That’s completely normal. The free consultation is designed to help you explore this question without any commitment.
